I’ve been a bit absent recently. Would love to say that I’ve been travelling and sourcing lots of new African curiosities. But to my total surprise, early in the summer of 2016, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. This was not what I had planned. This was a game changer. I dropped everything to tackle the task in hand. Hunkered down. Took all the hideous drugs. Embraced every ‘alternative’ route imaginable. And... here I am, out the other side, in recovery but still smiling.

What amazed me about Chemo, and I won’t bore you with all the minutia and ghastly side effects, was how creative I felt. There’s another BIG C. My months were spent creative thinking and writing as opposed to creatively creating with my hands. Creative none-the-less. I had time to read and research, plot and scheme, develop new ideas and think. The outcome of all this is I feel that the new year will bring some fresh discoveries, colourful fabrics, original products and exciting interior schemes.

But let’s not dwell on my recent medical traumas. The BIGGER C I would like to talk about is CHRISTMAS. Last year I did all my shopping online. This year I’ve ventured out to some interesting Christmas markets. They’ve delivered in abundance. But I confess I still have a few tricky people to buy for. I’m sure you struggle with the same dilemma. On that note we have a few old favourites in the studio and so I’m hoping that Porcupine Rocks might help you unearth that hard-to-find present.

50% of all sales will be donated to Cancer Research. It’s my way of putting something back.

Last date to process your order in time for Christmas is Friday 15th December.

Thank you to all those who have supported me through this crazy journey.
Happy Christmas shopping.

Our Nguni cow skin fire bellows will put the ROAR into a roaring fire.
These elegant hand painted Safari ceramics are not only original but highly practical as they are dish washer safe. The nut bowls can be used for anything from condiments to jewellery. And why save the sugar and creamer set for best, we use ours every day.

We have a few hand crocheted ‘moon baskets’ in stock. Each individual in their style and colour. They make great statement pieces centre table or can be hung on a wall. Move them around and see what works best for you.

The funky Shine Shine trays always bring joy to the table. Fun and colourful. Perfect for any age.
Wishing you all a joyful, healthy and peaceful Christmas.

X Paula
